Fans got a sneak peek at the 2009 edition of the La Crosse Loggers on Tuesday evening at The Lumber Yard as the Lumbermen played host to the Swedish National Team in a special pre-season exhibition affair.
Team Sweden came out on top 7-5 in front of 1,213 fans one night after knocking off the Brainerd Area Lakes Lunkers 3-2 up in Brainerd.
The Swedes jumped out to a 7-0 lead off of Loggers starter, and pitching coach Justin Ramsey. La Crosse would make it a tight game late with a big five-run eighth inning.
Tony Mueller (Winona State) led the Logger offense with four hits on the night from his lead-off position and Ramsey would go the distance on the mound.
