Could it be? Jr. Hockey at the Omni Center

Some of you may have noticed an article in the Tribune that said that the Omni Center in Onalaska is exploring the possibility of a Jr. Hockey team to the area and also voted to have year-round ice to bring in year-round hockey league play, tournaments and other events. They have already explored the idea, now it is down to negotiating a deal with the NAHL and with the owner of the Northern Iowa Outlaws, Mark Motz to see if the Outlaws will move to the Coulee Region, or will there be another new NAHL team following the leagues latest addition, the Janesville Jets? Last month the prospect of forming a new team was discussed and the name "Coulee Region Chill" was suggested by Mark Motz. I like the sound of that! There is a short amount of time for a decision to be made for 09', but 10' is looking good. Click on the Outlaw's logo for their website to get a better idea of what it's all about.
