On Sunday night in Copeland Park the La Crosse Loggers earned their second trip to the playoffs in franchise history. La Crosse took care of business against the visiting Mankato Moondogs winning the game 4-3, as Madison lost just minutes before the completion of the game in La Crosse, clinching the postseason berth for the home team. This team has fought through so much adversity and made the fans proud this season. I have never seen so many gutsy walk off victories in a season. This may be our team of destiny. Tonight they take on the same Mankato team and if they win it would give them the best record in the Northwoods League and home field advantage. They will host Eau Claire tomorrow night at the Lumberyard. GO LOGGERS!Monday, August 10, 2009
